Movie Reviews by Josh Brown:
Once Upon a Time in Mexico...
I can honestly tell you not to see this movie and feel good about
it. It is possibly the worst movie I’ve ever seen in theaters in the
lines of establishing a plot and realistic situations. For those of
you who don’t know, this is the third and final installment of the
Mariachi/Desperado trilogy. The second one, I don’t think even went
to the theater.
Well, let me explain why it was so terrible to sit through. They
start with a fight scene that is so unbelievable it made me laugh.
Then the film changed in quality from time to time. Low budget films
shouldn’t be so ambitious. It turns out that Robert Rodriguez
directed, edited, designed, composed, and was the cinematographer
for the entire movie. He is obviously the ambitious type, but that
isn’t good for all of us who liked the other Desperado movies. In
other words the movie was a flop. However, Johnny Depp was awesome,
but what do you expect. I give it a 0 out of 5, because it wasn’t
worth a dime.
